“We take color photos for granted today, but there was a time when pop culture as seen in photographs was black and white. Opening Feb. 22, “Color Rush” at the Milwaukee Art Museum traces the history of color photography in the United States from 1907 to 1981. Artists include William Eggleston, Nan Goldin, Stephen Shore and Joel Sternfeld. Shown above, a crossroads in Melrose, La., shot by Marion Post Wolcott in 1940.”
